The First Graduating Class of Steelton High School:

The First Commencement exercises were held on Thursday June 5, 1884 in the high school Exhibition Hall.

Graduates were: Maggie E. Barrick, Bessie E. Heiney, Katie A. Ligan, John W. Dougherty & John P. Knisley.

The First Steelton High School Graduate to pass away was Miss Katie A. Ligan.

She was laid to rest at Churchville Cemetery.
