HAIL TO COTTAGE HILL !

THE ONE & ONLY, HIGHLY REVERED, WORLD RENOWNED, AWE INSPIRING COTTAGE HILL!

Many epic battles have been fought and won here, against some of the biggest and best teams in the state. Many opponents have come here from near and far, with long winning streaks intact and high expectations, only to leave Cottage Hill in defeat after slamming into the Mighty Steamrollers.

Many great players have donned the Mighty Royal Blue & Steel Grey, with well over 20 rising to the professional ranks, including the first ever player credited with going straight from high school to the National Football League, Dusan “Duke” Maronic of the 1948 & 1949 World Champion Philadelphia Eagles.

To play on Cottage Hill is not only an honor and privilege, it is a rare, profound experience so many others will never know. It is a hard-earned passage into an elite family. A family that welcomes every player, every coach, every cheerleader, every band member, every fan and every volunteer to know the Mighty Steamroller ghosts of the past are proudly watching over you, and smiling down on you.

The first football game played on our legendary Cottage Hill football field was a 66-0 win over the Lebanon Valley College Reserve team on October 5, 1912, and it has been home to our Mighty Steamrollers ever since.

Cottage Hill was dedicated to our World War II Veterans on Saturday, September 28, 1946 with a 21-12 win over Sunbury High School, and officially named

World War II Veterans Memorial Field. Today, it is more familiarly known as

War Veterans Memorial Field.

In the Fall of 2022, our Mighty Steamrollers will once again proudly do battle on our Hallowed Cottage Hill for the 110th year, having earned over 400 victories and winning over 71% of their games here.

A beautiful, stunning sunset atop Cottage Hill 2021.
